Step back into automotive history with a visit to the Portland Powerhouse Car Museum.  The museum holds an extensive display of Veteran, Vintage & Classic cars as well as motorbikes and static engines. Most of the exhibits have been fully restored to their original condition.
	Many of these unique pieces of automotive history are dated from the early to mid 1900's with a few exhibits from the 1960's each having their own story to tell. The museum is operated on a voluntary basis by car club members, owners and enthusiasts who are only too happy to help you with any questions you may have on any of the vehicles.
Some of the vehicles are able to be hired from their various owners for special occasions such as weddings. The museum also houses items of automotive memorabilia such as Petrol pumps, Badges, Antique signs, Replicas & toys as well as operating cross-section engines,
	Also included in the exhibit is Portland's Powerhouse Museum  vintage pull car and tram. Both pieces have been lovingly restored and manufactured to form a wonderful exhibit. All persons who worked on the projects are listed on adjacent wall. The Saloon car is restored and the grip car manufactured.
This collection of Australia's motoring past should be on the top of your "Must see" list if you're visiting Portland ! Whether you're a vintage or classic car enthusiast, remember the car that grandad used to own or just to educate the kids, the Powerhouse Museum is assured to be a delight to all.
